I just built a tube amp that uses and Princeton Reverb chassis but has 2 channels. One that is blackface clean and the other is a JCM800/SLo type high gain channel. I am currently using 2- EVM12L's in an openback cabinet but want to use a stock size Princeton combo cab with either a 1 x 10" or 1 x 12" for portability. I was looking at the ET10 or ET65 range but was curious what suggestions you might have?
Thanks
Man, I'd go G10A or G10C in the Princeton cab ... I just did an un-miced outdoor gig with bass & drums through my new Quilter MicroPro MK II with a G10A in the 1x10 cab ... and it totally sounded great and had plenty of volume AND... bottom end. I actually had my trusty Super Reverb sitting there ready to switch to it if the Quilter didn't cut it ... but never turned the Super on!
If you go 12" ... then yes, I'd go ET65.
