2x12" for Fender Bassman RI

Hi:

I am rebuilding my 90´s Fender Bassman RI from the 4x10" Eminence Blue Alnico to 2x12´s. Not that I didn´t like the 4x10 setup, but I like 2x12 more. I would be happy to hear opinions on speaker choice: I have tried the amp in different speaker cabs with Celestions: one Gold + Greenback H and with 2x G12-65. They sound different but both nice. More rockstyle and in your face, but not as three-dimensional as the 4x10 setup. I am inspired by the older Fender Bassbreaker and the Fender Hot Rod Mike Landau serie combo´s and they both seems to have Vintage 30 speakers - would that be a good idea?  I know, I will need 4 ohms speakers in parallel wiring and there is a space isue with the tubes and speaker size..... I will be gratefull for any advice. Thanks for a great site... Greetings J
