Hi, I recently bought a JCM800 combo that came with 2 Celestion G12-70 speakers which I'm not pleased at all with.

I want something with more low end and smoother highs. I'd like to put 2 ET65s in it but I'm afraid i'm gonna loose too much in the high frequencies. So I 'm thinking of combining an ET65 with another speaker. I see a lot of boutique companies combining a Greenback and a G12h30 Anny? Any thoughts on this?

2 ET65s,

ET65 + Reaper,

 or ET65 + Veteran 30?

Thanks

Hello,

I´m making my own 2x12 cabinet. I´m using a Reaper HP and a Veteran 30 (like the v30 - G12H combination but in WGS versions), a warm and smooth combination! Vaught told me that is similar to Veteran 30 - ETS65 mix (i think this can work good too).

this 2 combinations maybe can be perfect to your jcm800!

regards!

Since you want "more low end and smoother highs" ... the Vet30/Reaper HP combo should take you there ... while still TOTALLY staying voiced like an 800 should!
