I have a Traynor YCV80 and I want to replace the stock speakers. I like the sound of the British Lead, Retro 30 and ET65. I have purchased the ET65 speakers before and put them in a 2x12 cab and paired it with a 1x12 combo with a Celestion Vintage 30. That combination seems to work pretty good. I am used to the Vintage 30 sound. What would you guys recommend I put in my open-back Traynor YCV80? I want some top end sparkle with tight bass and decent mids without going overboard. I play in a cover band and have to cover everything from classic rock to country to new alternative rock. Should I put 2 different speakers in the combo or a matched set? Any suggestions?

That is exactly the description of a Retro 30 ... if you want to add a LITTLE more mids to the blend, make one a Vet 30.
I am considering ordering 2 of the Retro 30's for my open-back 80watt combo amp. Are there any discounts, scratch & dent, b-stock, or coupon codes I can use to save a few bucks on my order?
