Hi,

This is a short message to say that the ET65 is excellent in my "once upon a time it was a Fender Blues Jr" amp. I had used a Celestion G12H30 70th Anniversary Special Edition for the past 6 or 7 years, but wanted a change for something with less of the shrill high-end.  The Celestion was not bad, but every once in a while it was screeeeech!

The ET65 is perfect.  It is everything the G12H30 is, but much much better, without the ice pick.

BTW, I use the HM75 with a point-to-point handwired boutique amp that was based on a 50-watt JCM800.  That speaker is perfect for that amp.

I LOVE MY WGS SPEAKERS!

Thanks, Jimmy

I have a 1973 SFSR that I have in a custom built 12" combo cab. I had a Weber 12F150A in this combo for the past 8 years or so and just put in a WGS ET65 in it. WOW! I am shocked at how much it has open up the frequnies in this amp. Prior to this I needed the bright switch on, but now I can turn it off. The amp seems to sustain better now and has more lows and highs. A really nice addition to this amp. I used to be a Weber die hard, but now I have been converted! :)

Cheers

Tim

Yea!  The ET65s LOVE those old 40-watt Fenders in a open-back 1x12 config.  Thanks for posting your results :-)

ET-65 is all round perfect speaker IMO. Not a lot of grit, nor is it ultra-clean. Perfect balance.
