I'm a tinkerer and want to change out the 12" OEM speaker in my Fender Champion 40 watt SS amp. I play an Epi Les Paul Standard Pro and favor southern rock, classic rock (not at earsplitting volume), Santana, Eagles, CCR. I play at home for fun, no gigs. Any thoughts about what WGS speaker would be best?

Wow ... actually had to google it to learn about that one! But man, looks like a cool little SS amp! I really dug the video demo that Musician's Friend has up. Anyway ... I'd say there probably IS a lot of improvement to be made in a speaker swap ... and ... I'd be all about the ET-65 ... which always brings organic tube-type goo to a SS amp!!
