This amp has a tight chassis so 4.75" is max overall depth . Stock speaker lacks bass in this combo amp. Any suggestions?

All the WGS 12" are too big. The deepest you could get would be a Jensen C12Q or equivalent Weber. The C12Q would probably be nice and only ~$60. I had a used Jet in the mid 70's as my first decent amp. It was a mess, but sounded sweet.

Thanks, but i think those jensens are too shrill for a el84 amp. El84s are bright imo. Thinking about the weber DT12. Its only 4.5in deep and has a fuller tone from what ive seen. Right now the amp has a vintage square magnet eminence which is nice but not enough bass

How bright EL84's will be depends on how they are implemented in a given design. They actually break up smoother and compress less than EL34. The J12T might just be a brightish amp. The DT12 sounds like a nice option. Which dope option you think? Less dope means more airy paper sound, but generally brighter.

I think i will order one. I was hoping WGS had something as i have a few et65s and veteran 30s in my homemade 18watt marshalls i built. I will report back

The G12Q is right at 4.75 ... probably a bit too close for comfort!
