This is not a speaker combo I have read any opinions on. I know you have said the HP and ET65 are very complimentary, Vaughn. I liked the idea of the added “bigness” the 90 should bring. I am playing primarily 80’s metal, sometimes ZZ Top to ac/dc kind of stuff as well.

My question I’m posing is x-pattern vs top/bottom configuration. And, if you were putting one pair top and one bottom, which? My natural inclination would be the 90s on the bottom?

Thanks to everyone who has taken time to post their experiences here. This forum is a wealth of information!

I forgot to add, I am using this cab with a Mark IVa.

Yea, my natural inclination would probably be the 90's on the bottom too ... where they can best couple with the floor. However, I've often found that the x-pattern really makes for the fullest, most complex tone ... so, don't be affraid to try BOTH and se which you prefer :-)
