G12C or Reaper as an all-rounder?

Going to buy my first cab.  Don't know what I'm going to pair it with, but I believe there are many amps in my future.  Currently playing a Vox AC4TV.  Want to experiment and buy some different heads.

I play classic and modern rock, blues, and some jazz.  No metal.

I mostly play a dark humbucker guitar, but also some single coil guitars and a P90 jazz hollowbody.

I mostly play a clean or driven lead tone, not a lot of high-gain distorted stuff.

I want something that can span the range from dark to bright, without being shrill or icepicky.

The amps I like are generally Fender-ish or Vox-y.  For whatever reason, I don't have many Marshall-y amps on my wish list.

I think I'm down to the G12C or Reaper, and I loved Vaughn's shootout between the two.  To my ear, the G12C sounded brighter, but clearer.

Need some advice.  What's the best all-rounder to put in a cab that you would use with a variety of amps?  Is the G12C too shrill?

Help me out!

Definitely go with the Reaper ... and make it the HP so it will be able to be used with any amp up to a "true" 50 tube watts :-)
