Hi, I am designing an amp with Marshall sound in mind. I am going to rip out the guts of my Marshall JCM900 Dual Reverb 1X12 tiny combo and build my own circuit into the chassis. The existing speaker is a Celestion G12H-100 that sounds really bad. I want to find a speaker that work well with an open back small combo that sound Marshallish.

Yea boy!  Hear ya!

Personally ... it would be an ET90 for me ... for sure!

Thanks, let me eloborate a little. I bought your G12C/S, I really love it. I used it for a design that closer to Fender with OD. I want to find something souning "big" in Marshall type sound.

I have a Celestion G12T-75. It is only OK. I think I want more the mid grinding sound of a Marshall.

Given that, is ET90 still the one?

Hi

I since bought the Veteran 30 and really love it. I like it even more than the G12C/S. I am buying another speaker. I am looking for one that is different enough but still good with Marshall type of amp.

1) Is ET90 still a good choice for me?

2) Is Retro 30 too close to Veteran 30 that it won't give me enough of a difference?

3) Any other suggestions?
