I know one of the more popular pairings is Vet30/et65 but was wondering if anybody ever tryed a retro 30 vet 30 pair? Just having some trouble finding vids of the et65 to make the decision but really like the way the vet30 and retro 30 sound. I mostly play hard rock heavy metal style music but my favorite band that i play the most of is coheed and cambria and would like something to sound similar to what they use. I have a 6505+ 112 60w that i modded into a head and am using a speaker cab i build with dimension i took from a mesa 2x12 rectifire cab built completly out of 18mm/ 3/4 birch plywood closed back. right now using my peavey speaker and vet30 but when i put the vet 30 in there i could tell that i was going to want to replace the peavey soon.
Just got a Vet30 looking for something to pair it with.

I am contemplating mixing Vet 30 with Reaper HP.
I have the Vet30 in a 4X12 with 3t 65s and its somewhat quiet in tone. But that may be because MDF.
Vet with Reaper HP might be an OK mix, but it requires work.....
ET 65 with Veteran and you're in the 80's, dude.
