After tons of research and playing the combo at GC, i went home and ordered a Bugera V22 head. Main reason, i sat down with a Epi 339(main ax Epi SG w/SD Alnico 2 pups,50's style wiring and pots and cap) and forgot where time went ! I was looking for a dif rig(Main peavey Valveking 2 50 watt combo with homemade open back 1 x 12 w/ET-65 (22"x19'x12'"to match the VK profile). The ET-65 in that oversize cab has blown me away, tames the stock VK greenie for a nice sound. I am only guitar player so i go rythym to lead very frequently. And wanted a set up that would do it and that does it ! Now, all i wanted to do was find a new sound and that 339 into the Bugera, did it for me. Question is ? I have a ET-65, so what should i compliment it with for V22? or should i go 12g/c or s and something else? i am getting into the Retro lately? whats cool is will A/B/Y this or use all 4 cabs with my valveking live? Also, vaughn your video on the v22 was very good and was spot on about that amp !1
I can't quite understand the question. Are you building a 1x12 cab or 2x12?
I got a Vet 30 to go with ET-65, turns out to be a very good pair for the V22. Very crisp and clear. I have been building oversize 1x12"s and finding out they really open an amp up. The ET-65 is a great speaker !! ordering g12c/s and something else this week for next 2 cab build. Having a blast with all these WGS speakers !!
Cool! That combo is NEVER bad :-)
