I'm wondering which of the G10C G10C/S speakers to use in my amplifier. My guitars (G&L ASAT and Jazzmaster) both push the amp pretty hard and have fairly hot single coils. I don't have a problem with the loud treble tones since that's what cuts through the mix of my band the best, but I don't like the grind that the stock Jensen 1x12 has at higher volumes. I usually play blues, country, rock, and surf.

My idea is to make my amp move more air while staying smooth at high volume settings. I have heard each of the speakers on video back to back, but in a 1x10 configuration. In a 2x10, what would I gain or lose by going with one vs the other? What would happen if I went with one of each?

Oh how cool ... ya definitely gotta come back here and post your results!!!

Okay, a pair of G10C's (regular w/ribs) would totally blow your mind .... but ...

If it were me, I'd go with one G10C & one G10C/S for the added lows/lower mids of the smooth cone.

Either way, it'll be a LOT louder amp that pushes a lot more air!
