Peavey Ultra 112 Speaker choice: Vet 30 or Retro 30?

I have a Peavey Ultra 112 in need of a speaker and I'm not sure whether to go with the Vet 30 or the Retro 30. I ran it through a Triple xxx 30 speaker and it vastly improved the sound of the amp. The Triple XXX 30 is supposed to be Peavey's take on the V30 so I know I want something similar. I loved the Vet 30 but the amp to me is a little dark sounding which makes me think I should go with the Retro 30, however, I heard the Retro 30 by itself is a little too bright. I'm also concerned about the Vet 30 not being able to handle the extra bass when using the resonance switch on the amp to give it more rumble. Any help is greatly appreciated. It's definitely going to be one or the other and I want to make the best choice.
