Hello,

I heard about you guys from the chasing tone podcast and was wondering if you could give me some insight on a new speaker.

I have the H&K tubemeister 36 combo and although i love this amp it is fairly bright to my ears even with the treble rolled all the way down. What speaker would you recommend? I use a big muff pedal for most of my dirt tones and i play everything from clean blues to modern higher gain and dropped tuning stuff. Im looking for a nice tight low end with good mid presence and something that can tame those nasty highs.

Any time you can take from your busy schedule to help this lowly tone chaser out is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Ps. Do you really have over 100 amps and if so are you looking to adopt any children?

Man ... in the 1x12 combo version of the HK tm36, I'd say you can't get any better than the always full, warm and juicy ET65 ... or if you also want to make sure you eek out every bit of volume, you might want to consider the Reaper HP!

Yea, I'm at WELL over 100 amps right now ... but we just adopted two little house puppies ... and I think we'll stop at that :-)
