I just picked up a very well used Peavey Classic 50 watt VT 212 (late 70s model) for almost nothing. It has a solid state preamp and two 6L6 tubes in the power amp. It works good though it is scratchy and needs new tubes. I'd also like to replace the stock Peavey speakers. The cabinet uses 8 ohms so I need two 16 ohm speakers. Wouldn't mind two different types. Like the deep rich bluesy tones and classic rock. Not looking for metal sound or screaching highs. Round clear highs would be good though.
Would prefer something available in your "customer exchange" stock.
Thanks.

Hey Scott! If it were me ... from the cust. exchange list (as it is as of today)... I'd go with either a pair of 16-ohm Reapers, or 1 Reaper, and 1 G12C/S ... either choice will take you in the "deep rich bluesy" direction.
If you want a little more American Chime go one G12C/S & one G12C (currently not on the 25% off list)
