Im in the process of acquiring a DC-30 clone. I know traditionally these amps are used in a 2x 12" format but Im not at all locked into that, Im looking for "ultimate tone" whether thats 4x10", 10" & 12", 10" & 15"... whatever. I play mostly at my church with a heavily U2 influenced sound. Also what format cab? Closed Back, open, 3/4? Like I said Im just looking for the "ultimate tone cabinet" to go with the "ultimate tone amp"

The stock Matchless 2x12 DC 30 sound is a Green Beret & a Reaper. don't think you could go wrong with that!
I take it yours is a head? I'd go with the big Avatar (or similar) vintage 2x12 big-box convertible open/closed cab. Then you will have all your bases covered.
If you want a similar tone ... but capable of handling more powerful amps ... then go Invader & Reaper HP.
