Hey guys - I'm running a 1964 Fender Bandmaster into a closed-back 2x12 cab, loaded with a pair of Jensen Mod 12-35s - they have a nice balanced tone, but they just lack some of the sparkle that I like, so I swapped one of them with a Warehouse G12Q, and the tone is really nice, but I'm worried about blowing the 25-watt G12Q. I'm not looking for breakup here, (and the Bandmaster is not inclined to offer it!), but I like the clean sound to be robust and full, not jangly. I normally play with the volume about 4-5.

Now, as far as I know, when mixing 2 speakers of different wattage, your overall rating works out as double the wattage of the lower-powered unit.  So, I'm effectively running a 40 watt Bandmaster into a 50 watt 2x12 cab. Is the G12Q going to be pushed too far? Both speakers are 8ohm, wired in parallel to suit the Bandmaster's 4ohms. I've only had it at home volume levels over a short space of time, and it certainly sounds good to me.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm going to say you should be fine ... as long as you are not really pushing the bandmaster reall hard for extended peroids of time.  If so, go with a G12C!
