Hi there, 3 weeks ago I finally made up my mind and ordered 2 ET90 /8 ohm speakers from one of your EU dealer, destined to substitute the 2 V30 in a Fender Vibroking 2x12" closed back extension cab. Shortly after I received 2 carboard boxes with a yellow "wgs-ET90-8" label attached visibly over another yellow label printed "wgs-12 65 H/8 " , and the contained speakers have a black frame, no label and just a little white sticker with "made by WGS 1265H 100 w 8 Ohm".
Are those speakers effectively ET90s, maybe early ones , did you change the name, or did I get the wrong speakers?
Also, should I go the mixed speaker route, which one would you choose for this cab ?
thx
Oh my ... how does the famous spy line go? I could tell you the truth ... but then I'd have to kill you ... ha!
Seriously, you got some rare birds there! The ET-90 was originally only available in some VERY expensive amplifiers by a VERY high-end boutique amp builder ... and for them, the designation was 1265H (essentially a ET65 with a Heavy magnet). Seems you received a pair of those custom models. They are the right speakers ... and you can brag that you have what may be the only pair ever seen outside of the "Amp which shall remain un-named" ... I'd like to tell you EXACTLY what amp those were designed for ... but well, then I'd have to kill you! (kidding ... of course!!!)
