Hello,
I wanna try some WGS Speaker, cause I got rid of my Celestion V30. This high mid fizz and high end squeal isn't longer for me...
I mostly play Hardrock like Slash, Alice in Chains, Snakepit but also newer Stuff... I'm a Bluesrock to Hardrock guy having a classic ripping rock tone in mind...
I play through a Cornford MK50II and a Boutique Head (tonally near to an old Marshall) from Germany. Guitars are a CS Gibson 57 VOS Les Paul and a Fender CS 61 Telecaster.
I'm looking for a smoother tone. But also enough mids to cut through the mix...
The cab I wanna use is my MESA Recti 2x12 (horizontal). Small height but increased depth.
I've heard a lot of good things about the invader?
Which speaker / speaker combination would you recommend?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH SO FAR

Hi!
Even before you mentioned it, as I read your post my mind was thinking: Invader!
Go for a pair of them ... or if you want to further warm up the cabinet go with one ET65.
Thank you so much...
Great support! Really awesome...
I'll try the invader... :-)
Hi WGS,
I tried a pair of Invaders, but they are a little "small" soundig. Not as huge as the Celestion V30/G12-65 combo. So I think the Invaders aren't really for me...
Now I tried a pair of Veterans 30 last week. Very good speaker but a little too dark sounding.
So I think I'll wanna have sth betweed the V30 and the Veteran.
Wich speaker / combo would you now recommend?
THX

Since you state: "Now I tried a pair of Veterans 30 last week. Very good speaker but a little too dark sounding."
I'd say that the Retro 30's should be just to your liking ...
Outstanding support! Thank you very much...
That's awesome...
